Lena giggled. “Thank you, Lia.” She gave her more turkey. “Only you appreciate my cooking skills.” She gave a side glance to Shawn.
Shawn chuckled. “You are the best cook in the world,” he said and lifted her h*and to k*iss her f*ingers. “Such an attention seeker.”
While Shiloh rolled her eyes saying get a room, Lia burst out laughing. They both made such a cute couple and she wondered if she would ever get such a loving spouse. After dinner, Shiloh went to her room with her math assignment and Lia helped her with it. It was almost 11 PM by the time they finished. Lia yawned and stretched. “I am sleepy,” she said in a lazy voice.
“Ah okay!” Shiloh picked up her books. “We can continue tomorrow if that is okay with you.”
“Sure!” Lia smiled at her little sister. This was the least she could do to return the favor.
Lia went to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. She came back, switched off the lights, closed all the windows, tucked herself in the comforter and as soon as she hit the pillow, she went off to sleep. However, she started feeling cold soon. She pulled her comforter up and curled into a ball in it. The cold was getting the better of her. She muttered something under her breath, refusing to get up. Soon warmth spread over her back. She turned towards the warmth and tucked herself right into it. And then something very warm wrapped her on the back. She whimpered in her sleep as warmth spread through her body. Heavy weight curled around her. She didn’t know why but she felt safe. Even in her sleep, a soft smile spread on her face.
Something or someone l*icked her cheek. She giggled in her sleep turning to that thing. This was the best sleep she had had in ages. Lia woke up when Shiloh pounded on her door. “Wake up, wake up!”
Lia jerked up to a sitting position with wide eyes, confused. She looked at the clock and jumped out of the bed. But as soon as she was out, a cold gust of wind blew her hair. She saw that her window was open. “What the hell!” She was surprised. She remembered closing the window before going to sleep.
“Lia!” Shiloh shouted. “You have twenty minutes!”
“Damn!” Lia cursed herself. “Comingggg! Give me ten minutes!”
“You better hurry up! I don’t want to miss my class.”
Shiloh rushed to her bathroom. She took a quick bath, brushed her hair and tied them in a braid but when she looked at herself in the mirror, she was shocked. There was no sign of blue marks on her face. Even her l*ips had healed. She rubbed her eyes. Was she hallucinating? Nope. They had vanished. She rubbed her skin over there wondering if she still had makeup on, but there was none. Her skin was just as peachy as it was. Rather it was healthier than before.
“Lia!” Shiloh’s shrill voice sounded, making her jump two stairs at a time to reach the dining hall.
Shiloh was standing with a makeup box. She was stunned when she saw that Lia had healed completely. “Umm what happened?” asked a very confused Shiloh.
“I have no idea!” Lia breathed.
“Have your breakfast!” Lena shouted. “I won’t let you two leave unless you have had your breakfast.”
Lia caught Shiloh’s h*and and pulled her to the dining table. Shawn chuckled at the two of them as Lena fussed over them. She ensured that both her daughters ate the baked salmon and cheese sandwiches. “Wolves need it!”
“Wolves?” Lia laughed. “You are feeding us like wolves?”
Lena glanced nervously at Shawn. “Oh sweetie!” she immediately covered up. “You have to be strong. You are so thin!”
Shawn shook his head. Sooner or later he had to reveal to his daughter that they were living with werewolves and Lycans.
At school, Lia dashed to her class and as usual went to sit next to Robert in order to avoid the twins and their girlfriends. “Hi!” She greeted him with a smile.
“Hi!” He waved back to her back. “How are you?”
“I am well,” she replied as she started taking her books out. As she was flipping through her pages, she could feel the eyes of the twins boring into her. She had this temptation to look at them. She tampered it down but ultimately succumbed to it. She took a deep breath in and turned to look at them. And yes, they were staring at her. A blush rose on her cheeks and she whipped her head back to the front of the class. Why was she so affected by them? She noticed that every girl in the class was stealing glances at them. Though ugly head of jealousy reared in her brain, she clenched her jaws. Obviously, every girl was attracted to them because they were just too handsome. She now understood her problem. She was just like any other girl in the class. She decided to focus on the lecture.
The next period was that of sports. “Hey, why don’t you come and watch us play soccer?” he asked with a glint of hope in her eyes.
“Do I have a choice?” she said, sighing.
“You can go and play volleyball, if you like,” he suggested. “But has the sports teacher assigned you any sport?”
“Nope!”
“Great, then come with me!”
She picked up her books and walked out of the class talking with Robert about other assignments. When they reached the stadium, Robert excused himself and rushed to the changing rooms, while she climbed the stairs to reach the last row for spectators and leaned back. It was a perfect day. The sun was up and so she closed her eyes and lifted her face to soak up the sun. she was enjoying it when suddenly, she heard murmurs. She opened her eyes to see that a group of five girls were sitting at the lowest stair.
“Goddess, he is so handsome!”
“Gosh, I want to marry him!”
“I can take any one of the twins.”
They all tittered.
“I can do both of them. They just have to drop a hint,” said the one in the middle.
They all laughed. “Hey, let’s invite them together for an orgy!” Then they laughed more.
Lia clenched her teeth when her gaze lifted. Hawk and Arthur were playing soccer, shirtless. When the hell did they come? Screaming at the opponents and running around the field in their neon green short p*ants, they looked like Gods on earth. She gulped thick saliva down her t*hroat, stopping herself from drooling on them. When they moved, their muscles flexed. They had chiseled bodies that tapered down to the waist. Their h*ips were rounded which crafted into thick and muscular t*highs. Suddenly, she thought about how it would feel k*issing them. “F*uck!” she rasped. Where did that idea come from? She clenched her t*highs t*ightly as an ache settled over there. She gasped when her gaze locked with Hawk’s. He smirked at her and swiped his sweat with his h*and. Just when he was doing that, Arthur came to stand behind him and stared at her intensely. With two pairs of blue and green eyes on her, Lia was sure she would combust. Scared of her reaction, she picked up her books and darted down the stairs, but she came to a halt when Hawk came and stopped her in her tracks.
