Filed to story: Offered to the Lycan King Novel by Misha K (River & Hunter)
Brom’s m*outh dropped to the floor as his eyes darted from Gregory to Hunter to River. River stood up meekly in front of Hunter and clasped her h*ands in front of her. “Alpha Hunter, since I have accepted defeat and don’t have a pack now, you can throw me out of your pack and announce me as a rogue.”
Brom heard a muffled laughter from the trees where Trig was sitting, but he dared not look there. His face was red with anger and embarrassment. He didn’t know that his entire plan would be such a horrible flop.
Hunter placed his h*ands on her shoulder. “Alpha River, I accept your defeat and your pack. Your pack would be in my control.”
“Hey! Wait!” Brom shouted. This all looked like it was being staged. “You both are floundering the rules.”
“No, they are not,” Gregory remarked with a grin on his face that refused to fade.
Hunter continued, “I will not entertain your request to be a rogue because even though your pack is in my control, it is your people and they love you. Instead, I will marry you and it will strengthen our ties.”
“Will you f*ucking stop it?” Brom wanted to pull his hair apart. “For f*uck’s sake, you both are married.”
“Well, we will remarry,” Hunter answered with a shrug. “After all, we have to fulfill the treaty’s condition.”
“You think I am a bloody fool who can’t look through this act of yours?” Brom shouted.
“What act?” River asked innocently as all her family members laughed.
Elijah was already rolling on the ground while Arthur was leaning against a tree, laughing away to glory. Mia and Lia were giggling, their faces red. Only Hawk was serious, watching Brom closely.
“We have come here as you wanted,” River said to Brom. “We are fulfilling the treaty and an Elder is present to witness it. What else do you want, Alpha Brom?” She turned to look at him with wide eyes. “It seems that you can never be happy.”
Brom gaped at her. What did she mean by saying that he can never be happy?
“You forgot that from the time the decision was taken by the Elders to the time we met in this clearing, the Dark Moon pack was deemed split in the eyes of the Elders,” Hunter pointed. “Now we were both in the ring to challenge each other. The winner would get the other pack. River has accepted the defeat.” He turned to Elder Gregory. “I declare that her pack is mine and this is well within the laws.”
“It is,” Gregory chuckled. “Crescent pack is yours now.” Hunter and River bowed to Gregory. He said, “Now that the matter is resolved, I will return to the council and we will refine the stupid clause of the treaty. Now packs can be merged easily if need be.”
“Yayyy!” Arthur shouted, pumping his fist in the air as he and Elijah ran inside the ring and picked up Hunter on their shoulders. They cheered him as River looked proudly at him. The way to circumvent the clause was Hunter’s idea. She gave a smug look to Brom who appeared like he had sipped vinegar. With anger flashing in his eyes that flickered amber, he stormed out of the clearing. Trig followed him, shaking his head.
Lia ambled to Hawk. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her t*ightly. She craned her face to look at him and his l*ips seized her luscious ones. When he pulled away, he rested his forehead on hers. “I missed you so badly.”
She twined her f*ingers in his hair. “Ah!” he winced.
“Oh no!” she rasped, panicky. “You are hurt. That b*itch hit you with a hammer.”
“I will be fine now that you are with me.” He picked her up and k*issed her again as he walked out of the clearing. “I need you, Lia.”
“And I need you.”
He carried her all the way back to their hotel room where he sat her on the bed. Soon their clothes were tossed on the ground and he was in her, pounding relentlessly.
In the next few days, Shawn withdrew all his investments from the Pine pack even as Alpha Brom begged him not to. Within a few days, the whole economy of the Pine pack came tumbling down.
Lia went back to the college along with Arthur and Hawk, promising everyone that she won’t teach strangers now. As for Hunter and River, the pack was merged and when the new treaty came into effect, Hunter gave River her Alpha title.
“I’ve heard from Trig that Alpha Brom has sent Maggie to a psychiatry center in a hospital nearby,” Arthur said as he made Lia eat mangoes. She was lying in his lap, reading her notes.
“I hope she doesn’t run away from there!” Hawk said in a disgusted voice. “She was so f*ucking creepy!”
“Oh, she used your shampoo,” Lia commented. “That was spooky!”
“B*itch!” Hawk growled. “I am going to k*ill her if she comes anywhere hundred feet near you!” Lia laughed. “Calm down, Hawk. She won’t.”
Hawk crawled over to her. “Spread your l*egs, baby girl. I want to see what is mine.” He had become extremely needy lately.
“She hasn’t slept in two days,” the nurse informed the doctor as she watched Maggie pacing the compound that had an iron grill boundary. “And I feel that there is something wrong with her.”
The doctor sighed. “I will increase her dope drug. Sometimes, when I am talking to her, her face twists in an animalistic way.”
“Why don’t you move her to a high security cell? She is dangerous,” the nurse suggested.
“Okay… let me assess her situation in the evening.”
