I smirked finally seeing how I could win if I played my cards just right. He was fighting like a typical boxer, so he would have the same weakness any boxer would.
I used my speed to evade his attacks and when I had an opening I landed a hard kick right in his left leg.
He grunted and staggered back a bit.
I didn’t let up. I then kicked his left leg with the same force.
He went to throw another punch in my face, but I dodged and put some distance between us. I was right. He is losing his accuracy when I attack his legs. Boxers normally focus on their upper body strength so their legs are the weakest in boxing. Ryan taught me Moi Tai kickboxing and Jorge taught me judo and karate. Where leg strength was a very critical aspect of martial arts. The legs are the foundation of the body.
I close the distance again and throw a few jabs at him while he blocks them. I send more damaging kicks right into each of his legs. It felt like this fight was going on for hours. I was starting to lose steam and so was he. Someone was going to give and soon. I continued to use my speed to my advantage and sent a few jabs into his ribs.
He countered with a swift kick to my side. I didn’t get sent flying like he thought I would because I planted my feet and lowered my center of gravity to take the impact. He was finally close enough. I hit him with an open palm strike to the bottom of his chin. He smirked when he didn’t move as much. I knew I couldn’t move his thick neck with just one hand. That is why I used two.
I used my right hand to strike my left elbow to hit him in the chin with the force of both. While his head snapped up, I kicked the back of his ankle to throw him completely off balance. Nathan fell to the ground hard with his legs in such a state I hoped he would be down for the count. He breathed heavily and tried to catch his breath.
“I concede.”
he said while gasping. The crowd erupts with cheers as the match ends. I was out of energy myself so knowing that I won. I fell flat on my own ass trying to catch my own breath.
“Dam. I never lost to anyone but the alphas. You got some mad skills Miss.”
Nathan said, now sitting up. I looked over at him and laughed.
“Dude the only thing that saved my ass was the mixed martial arts I learned from my friends here in Thunder Mountain and the speed my wolf and I have.”
We both started laughing then I heard thundering footsteps coming towards us.
I looked over and it was my three handsome alpha mates.
“Sweetheart, are you ok? Is anything broken?”
Zero was the first to reach me and pulled me into his arms. If I didn’t know any better, the looks on the triplets’ faces were of pure fear and anger.
“I am fine, Love. Nathan didn’t do any permanent damage. I will just go to the medical tent and make sure I am still able to fight. Otherwise Nathan and I are both out. Hahaha.”
I turned over and looked at Nathan and he was in complete shock.
“Alphas,”
Nathan said with a bow.
“Come on Nathan. Leo, Zero, Hero, and I will explain in the medical tent.”
I said trying to get out of Zero’s arms but he tightened them around my body.
“There is no way you are walking Sweetheart. We will take you while they continue the next match.”
I knew Zero wasn’t going to negotiate so I nodded my head and we left the ring for the medical tent.
Once we get there I see my worst nightmare, Doctor Richards. He looks up and sees me being carried in and starts with the same old speech he gives me every time I get brought in to the clinic.
“Still playing ruff with the other children I see Jessabelle. I am a good doctor but I am getting a bit tired of having to keep putting you back together.”
He gave a dry chuckle before coming over and starting looking me up and down.
“Lets see what kind of damage you manage to rack up this time.”
My mates and Nathan were floored when the doctor didn’t even seem to notice them.
“It’s not that bad, Doc.”
I said while lifting my arm for him to check my ribs. I hissed the moment he touched my side.
“Not that bad huh?”
his voice dripping with sarcasm.
“I can tell that you have at least two to three cracked ribs and a sprained wrist.”
He then gently grabs my head and turns my head side to side and I hiss again at the pain in my neck I didn’t even know I had.
“And a case of whiplash. What the hell happened this time did Jorge throw you across the training field again?”
All the boys snapped at that
“AGAIN?!”
they all shouted at once. Even Nathan.
“It was months ago. Jorge and I were sparing and running off at the mouth. I wasn’t paying attention and he used a very cool judo move and threw me.”
I was trying to calm my alphas so they didn’t kill Nathan, Jorge, or even the doctor. Everytime I hissed in pain Leo was balling up his fists trying to contain his anger.
“Now I normally am not rude to visiting alphas but what are you all doing here with Jessabelle?”
Dr. Richards asks while finally looking over and noticing the triplets and Nathan.
“Nathan was my opponent in the last match and the triplet alphas here are my mates.”
I answered his question. Dr. Richards looked impressed while Nathan looked like someone just shot him in the foot. He dropped to one knee and spoke very fast and very scared.
“Luna, I am so sorry for what I did in the match. I had no idea that you were mated with the alphas. Please forgive me.”
I took a deep breath.
“Nathan there is nothing to forgive. You fought with honor in the match. You did nothing wrong.”
I said with a big smile as he looked up at me. Hero added
“Plus it was your Luna’s request that we not say anything until the match was over. She also made us promise that no matter what the outcome was. We as your alphas were not to punish you for hurting her in the match.”
