All pack members were trying to talk to us, but Lex moved me toward the back of the stage and away from everyone. He pulled back the curtain and pushed me away from everyone.
Lex looked down at me and smiled.
“My Luna,” he murmured as he lowered his lips to mine and kissed me again.
I kiss him back and moan into his mouth as his hands go to my waist.
What the hell was wrong with me?
I moved back and licked my lips.
Lex stares down at me. “You okay?” he asked.
I nodded.
“I guess I want my alpha,” I said, which made Bex howl in excitement.
Lex laughs.
“I will have you through the night, sweetheart,” he said. “But we have to get through the next few hours and the ultimate fight, and then I am taking you to our bed where I am ravishing you till I can’t anymore.”
The way he spoke affected me, and I liked the idea of him being with me.
f**k, what the hell?
I cleared my throat.
“I think we should get back out there,” I said as I removed the curtain.
I stepped out with Lex’s hands still on my waist. He stopped me and leaned into the crook of my neck.
“Damn, you smell so sweet,” he said, kissing my neck.
I moan.
“Don’t,” I muttered.
Lex moves back and sighs.
“I think I might get Dad to put your fight first,” he said.
I looked over my shoulder at him with a questioning look.
“Huh,” I said. “I thought we only had my fight.”
Lex shook his head.
“My father only booked four fights, which included yours,” he said. “I think he wanted to make it a night to remember.”
I should have thought about that. I did leave Alpha Frank to plan it all, and it would be something to watch the other fights.
“Did he tell you who I am fighting?” I asked.
Lex shook his head.
“Not a clue,” he said. “Come on, let’s get outside. The quicker we get out there, and you fight, the quicker I can take you back to the house.”
“I might want to watch the other fights,” I said jokingly.
Lex frowned.
“I will do whatever you want,” he said. “But one thing is for certain; I will be having my way with you sometime through this event, even if it’s in a corner somewhere.”
The thought of that excited me.
I licked my lips, but Lex groaned.
“f**k, Rox,” he said as he leaned and kissed my head. “You definitely not going to make it easy for me.”
“Nope,” was all I said as I placed my hand in his, making him drop his hands from my waist and guide him to the side entrance, where everyone was waiting for us.
“GIVE IT UP FOR ALPHA LEX AND LUNA ROXIE,” yelled ALpha Frank as we stepped outside.
Chants and cheers could be heard around the pack grounds from every pack member and others around.
LEX
The afternoon was a hit.
I sat next to Roxie as we gazed at everything in front of us. The food was out of this world and the music too. Every song that was played was something that made this event more special.
The ultimate fight drew closer as time passed, and I started to feel anxious. Well, more Roxie than me; her anxiety left me feeling everything through the mate bond.
I placed my hand on her shoulder and pulled her closer to me.
“You okay?” I asked as I leaned into her.
Roxie nodded but didn’t say anything.
“Mate, nervous,” muttered Blaze.
I knew that.
Blaze had been quiet all through this but only spoke when Roxie appeared. He drooled as he watched. I honestly thought he was going to shift and hump her leg when he saw her.
“I would have, but humping may not be what I would do to her,” he sneered. “I want her, her scent strong, and that dress looks perfect on her.”
I couldn’t agree more; she looked like an angel walking toward me. My c**k came to life as I watched her; she was something.
I was about to open my mouth when my father stood up and clicked his knife on his glass to get everyone’s attention.
All talking stopped, and the music was cut off.
My father smiled and looked toward us.
“Now, as you all know, Luna Roxie wanted to do something special for you all,” he said, looking toward everyone. “It is my greatest pleasure to announce that we are holding an ultimate fight here this evening, and the first match will be our Luna herself.”
I turned to look at Roxie, who stared at my father.
I knew she was worried about who she was fighting against, and I must admit, so was I.
“Now, Luna Roxie will be taking her to leave to get ready to fight shortly,” he said and looked at her, “as for your opponent, I knew you wanted to know, but I was told to keep it a secret as I asked for Alpha Gareth who I should go against you.”
This wasn’t good.
“So, I will announce that Luna Roxie will be fighting against Tammy Harsh,” he said.
A few growls erupted around the grounds.
Roxie tensed before I could even react to the news.
I looked over at her, but her face was blank.
“Bex is talking to her,” muttered Blaze. “She is giving her a pep talk or something.”
After a few moments, Roxie looked at me and nodded. She leaned in and kissed my cheek but moved toward my ear. “Stay by the ring,” she muttered. “Demon will be with her, and he likes to play dirty. I need you to take him out if you see him move.”
Roxie moved back and stared at me.
I moved toward and kissed her lips but pulled back only mere inches away. “He won’t come near you,” I murmur as I look at her lips. “I will make sure of it. You concentrate on Tammy; leave Demon to me.”
Roxie smiled and kissed my lips again. She moved back and stood up, and her eyes went to mine. “I will get ready,” she said.
I nodded.
Roxie turned and left, heading toward the entrance of the building where they were holding the ultimate fight.
Alpha Frank told everyone to head to the building. I got up, and Keith came over to me; his eyes scanned the crowd.
“What’s up?” I asked as he stood rooted to the spot.
Keith sniffed the air, but a low growl escaped.
“Mate,” he whispered, making my eyes wide.
Keith looked around but looked at me.
“I know I promised Roxie I would be by her side, but I need to…” he said, but I shook my head. “I understand,” I said. “Find your mate; Roxie will understand too.”
Keith nodded and walked away.
I knew this would be a big deal.
I sent a mind link to my father to let him know what was happening, which even surprised him. Keith never bothered finding his mate; he was all about his beta role and ultimate fighter community; he never mentioned whenever he was around that he was looking, so this was a shock, even to my father.
