“Hello, baby girl” I said, smiling at the sight of my daughter who lay in her crib.

The nurses, pack members, and maids were surprised to see that r was back at home without Scarlett with me, probably thinking that she left again; however, this time, things were different. She wouldn’t be able to leave if she tried.

“Alpha, she has had her porridge like Luna Scarlett instructed” the nurse said and I nodded.

“Good, and I want her to follow ,/ the same schedule she used to when her mother was around” I said, my tone cold. My heart ached as the idea of something happening to

her played in my head.

“And Luna Scarlett…?” The nurse forced herself to quiet down before she could even complete her sentence, and raising an eyebrow at he I nodded at her to leave. Her eyes avoided mine, and looked down at her feet as she took a step back. I rolled my eyes at the woman, and turned to my daughter who cooed as she looked at me. My little angel did not even know how worried 1 was about her or about her wellbeing with her mom not being around; however, knowing that this was for the best when it came to Scarlett knowing how to raise her as Luna should, I knew that this was for her best.

Anastasia raised her hand toward me, and putting my finger in her hand, I smiled at my daughter and pulled her hand to my lips, gently kissing it She cooed, and smiling, I removed my finger and gently carried her in my arms, laying her head on my chest. She laid her head on my chest, and kissing her cheek, I let my lips linger there as I thought of how I was going to handle things from now on.

I didn’t know whether or not Scarlett even understood that this was for her benefit, but I really did hope that she didn’t make things hard on herself so as not to upset Nikita. Otherwise, she wouldn’t allow Me to take her from there, and the last thing I wanted was for her to hate me, and I knew for fact that she would. The way she looked at me before 1 left told me that things would not go as smoothly as I hoped that they would; but I just hoped for the best to happen,

“I really db hope that your mom does come back here soon” I said, looking at Anastasia who cooed. Her eyes met mine, and looking down at her, I smiled before leaning in to kiss her forehead “and I do hope and pray that she accepts me when she does”

“Good girl” I said, motioning to my daughter to crawl toward me. She is now almost nine months, and has been trying her best to crawl toward me since. Her eyes met mine, and she giggled as she tried to speed her steps before reaching me. I smiled at her, and lifting her in my arms, I pulled her to my chest as I hugged her tightly,

It has been five months since I last saw Scarlett, and knowing that today I would be picking her up, I didn’t know what to expect as a reaction from her: however, I knew that it wouldn’t be fun and games or even loving, I kissed my little princess, and handed her to her nurse. I walked toward the living room to get my keys and wallet.

Work has been hectic for the past few weeks, and I had to admit, I was mostly working because I needed to get my mind off things. Scarlett’s silence was more alarming, and knowing that she was telling them that she did not want to see me did not escape my mind. Nikita did try to arrange visits; however, Scarlett was refusing even the idea of me catching a glimpse of her.

I entered my car, and starting it, I drove toward the area where C left her a few months back. I knew that she was alone there, and I knew that her training was strict. Back when morn was there, she had classmates of all races, some of them were human too, but this was the first time a student admitted the course on her own.

I ran my fingers through my hair upon arriving, and expecting to find Scarlett, I frowned when I found no trace of her, Her scent was around, meaning that she was here, but she was nowhere to be seen, and I didn’t know whether or not it was because didn’t want me taking her, but I knew that she didn’t come to meet me, that things were not going to be as easy as I hoped they would be.

I got out of the car, and looking at Nikita, she avoided my eyes before she took a step back for me to follow her. I walked toward one of the gardens to find Scarlett sitting by the river. Her hair had a flower tiara on it, and was braided from top to bottom, She wore a white dress, and considering that she sat cross legged on the branch, the dress was raised a Mettle to show her foot. She wore an anklet on her right foot, and a pair of white sandals. I knew that she was aware of us watching her, but she did not turn to spare us a second glance.

She has been trained and has passed all her courses” Nikita said, breaking my train of thoughts.

“Why isn’t she reacting?” I asked, frowning in confusion at the fact that she did not even turn to look at us “what have you done to her?”

We have done nothing but train her, but with every passing day, she would lose herself to an abyss of you taking her daughter away from her and you abandoning her. She has missed live moons, her wolf was refusing to shift, and even after trying to force her to shift.,”

“Force her?”

She had to learn how to control her wolf” Nikita said, making my chest ache as I frowned. My heart broke and looking at Scarlett, 1 shook my head, They couldn’t have hurt her this much_ She didn’t deserve it,

“I asked you to prepare her as my Luna.:

“You asked me to train her, and I did_ In every possible way” she said, stopping mei, understand that you were not aware of the training, but rest assured, it is the same training that even your mother took. I was not going to harm your Luna…”

You killed the woman!” l said, snapping at her, Scarlett jumped upon hearing my loud mice, and turning to look at me, I frowned when a few tears fell from her eyes before she stood up, as if under a command. She looked down at her feet, and took a step toward me, lowering her ga’e to the ground as if she was waiting.

“I am ready, Alpha Alexander” she said, breaking my heart at how monotonous she was. The life in her was drained completely, and it broke me to know that it was my fault and my fault alone.

“Scarlett…”

“Yes, Alpha?” She asked, wiping her tears from her eyes as she kept her head down. Her hands shook as l took a step toward her, and wrapping my arms around her, I pulled her in for a hug, She didn’t react, and instead, she waited for me to pull away before repeating what she said earlier, her tone in the same monotony as it was “I am ready, Alpha Alexander. I will be waiting for you in the front garden…”

She didn’t wait for my response before she nodded at both Nikita and I before walking past us, Her heart raced, and I could feel her aching chest despite her silence, and turning to look at Nikita, I growled at her before taking a step toward her and grabbing her by her neck. Nikita didn’t move, hell, she didn’t even seem phased.

“I will make sure that you fucking pay for this, I give you my word”

“We simply followed your orders, Alpha Alexander. You asked me to take a child and turn her into a woman fit to be a Luna, and that is what I did” she said, and I growled in

warning, forcing her to stay quiet.

“I asked you to teach her how to be a proper Luna” I said, shaking my head “1 ney.er asked you to kill her. But I will be sure that you fucking pay for this, this is a promise that I will keep. Your fucking money was sent to your account, enjoy it while it lasts”
