The captain rubbed his eyes and then shook his head. Mia swayed towards him. He shrank in his place. “Wh- who are you?” he squeaked.
She went to stand right in front of him and placed her h*ands on her waist. “I am Mia, and you?” The captain began to shiver when she lifted her clawed palm and ran one clawed f*inger down his pale face.
“I- I am C-Cobra.” His shaky h*ands reached the gun on the table.
Mia gritted her teeth and snatched the gun from his h*and. She could easily k*ill him now and then k*ill the rest of them, but if she did that, her real identity would be revealed. She held the gun at her eye level and examined it. “Were you trying to shoot me?” she asked in a voice that could be as soft as possible in her Lycan form but still it came out pretty… guttural.
The captain pissed in his p*ants. “No!” He shook his head vehemently. In his life he had never thought that a girl he would bring to his room would turn out to be a beast.
Mia turned her gaze to his wet p*ants and tutted. “Now this is embarrassing. It seems you are pretty afraid of me.” She pointed the gun on his head.
“I— I am!” he stuttered. “Leave this cabin and I will let you go!” He started p*anting and sweating. Mia opened her m*outh to smile, but it looked like it was the jaw of death. The captain probably pissed again, trembling like a paper now. She pointed at the remaining powder on the table and said, “Snort it up!”
“What? No!” When she glared at him, he nodded. “Yes!” He drew away from her and leaned on the table where there was a heap of white powder. He turned his face towards her and suddenly Mia noticed that he had pressed a bell that was beneath the table.
“F*uck!” She grabbed his hair and banged it on the powder. “Snort it!” she ordered. He struggled h*ard but she didn’t let him go. A lot of powder went up his nose and t*hroat. She knew that he was going to regret this encounter for the rest of his life. That is if he lived. She heard heavy footsteps coming towards the door. Immediately, she got hold of her Lycan and went to huddle up in a corner.
When the men opened the door, they found her sitting in the far corner, huddled up like a delicate doll while their captain was on the table with his head in drugs. The men grabbed her and took her back to the room as some of them began checking on their captain.
When Mia was sitting with the passengers, she had a victorious smile on her face. A plan started forming in her head. The passengers gaped at her for returning so fast. She shrugged, “The captain took an overdose of drugs and passed out.”
The woman beside her hugged her. “You were saved!”
A day later, when Elijah got up, he found himself in the hospital room with his h*and attached to a tube. He tossed away the blanket that had covered him and got up with a growl. His eyes went straight to Hunter.
“Oh thank the goddess!” Hunter breathed. He rushed to Elijah and clasped his shoulders. Hunter had to inform the human council about him and so they had sent special werewolf doctors so that they knew how quickly he healed. “Where is Mia?” he asked like a wild animal in a cage. He remembered being shot at, but his b*ody mended rapidly.
“The passengers were abducted by a pirate ship, Elijah,” Hunter told him. “The authorities are still trying to find out who they are. The submarine carrying the passengers has gone somewhere in the south.”
Elijah plucked the tube out of his b*ody and another one from his l*eg, drawing out blood in the process. “What the hell are you doing?” Hunter protested. “You still need to heal up, Elijah!”
He tossed the tubes on the floor, grabbed the sheet, tore it to make two strips and tied them on his ankle. He gave the other one to Hunter and growled, “I have to go after Mia! I need to k*ill that bastard and wreck his submarine! I want my mate back!”
“Elijah, you have to heal, damn it!” Hunter growled as he tied the strip of sheet on his arm. However, he knew fully well that Elijah would heal in another day. The Lycans healed very fast and Elijah was his Beta which made him the second most powerful Lycan in his pack which meant that he also healed very fast.
But the point was that Hunter also knew that Elijah was going to get in the ocean and find Mia. And that could infect his skin.
“I am healed!” Elijah growled back. “Just take me to the divers and all those who are able to locate the submarine. Give me the last location and I will swim to it!”
Hunter was tense. After the way Mia was abducted, his heart was raging with anger. He could understand Elijah’s tension. “Please understand Elijah, I don’t want to lose you!”
“And you want to lose Mia?” he snapped. “How can you even say that, Alpha Hunter?” he scorned. “My mate is out there somewhere in the wilderness of the ocean and you are saying you don’t want to lose me?” He rounded Hunter, grabbed jeans that were kept folded on a chair and changed into it as he ignored Hunter’s glare. “You think I am not concerned about Mia?” Hunter’s low voice was filled with a warning.
Elijah closed his eyes as a muscle feathered in his jaw. “I don’t want to argue, Hunter. I have marked Mia and we are mated. I-”
“What?” Hunter’s erstwhile anger evaporated in a second.
“In case you didn’t notice it!” Elijah removed his hospital shirt, revealing his mark. He pointed at it. “This is Mia’s mark and I am going to find her. No one can stop me!” He resumed changing the shirt.
How could he miss it? Hunter stabbed his f*ingers in his hair as he gaped at the mark. His sister and his Beta were mated. This meant that until Mia was found, Elijah would never come back to the pack. And a sudden jolt of worry rippled through his b*ody for Mia. He had to protect Elijah at all costs because if he died, she would too. And she was too young. “F*uck!” he rasped. Panic bubbled in his c*hest for his sister and he rubbed his c*hest.
Hunter just walked out of the hospital room, urgency coiling t*ight in his stomach. Elijah followed him. The car was waiting outside the hospital for them. His warriors were with him. He jumped in the car along with Elijah and they sped to the police headquarters where the authorities were trying to locate the pirate submarine. The men allowed both of them to enter the facility but they didn’t allow his warriors.
“Any luck Lavin?” Hunter asked the man who was leading the investigation. The room where they were ushered to was filled with long tables with many computers. There were men bustling around or working at their stations. Tension was heavy in the air.
Lavin shook his head with a sigh. “We got this message about two hours back. We have interpreted the location from where the message was sent. It is about a hundred nautical miles from here. I am assuming that the submarine must have traveled about thirty nautical miles from here in these two hours and it could have gone in any direction.” Lavin pointed at a large screen on a wall. He put his f*inger on the spot where the message was located from. He made a circle with his f*inger around that point. “I am sure that the submarine is in this area!” Lavin was already informed as to who Hunter was. According to Lavin, he was an extremely wealthy businessman and very important to the state. Elijah was his secretary. One look at both of them, Lavin was sure that they could be assassins or in the army. They looked so deadly and muscular and towered over every police officer out here. He was also informed that his sister Mia was in that submarine.
“What was the message?” Hunter asked, crossing his arms across the c*hest with narrowed eyes.
“Now that is a strange part,” Lavin said. He picked up a small piece of paper from the table where his men were working on their computers. He h*anded the paper to Hunter as he glanced at Elijah. “They are asking for a one billion dollar ransom in the next twenty-four hours, otherwise they will start k*illing passengers one by one”
“Bastards!” Hunter hissed as he read the message. “They also want medical assistance for their captain?” He said, bewildered. “What the f*uck happened to the captain?”
Lavin shrugged. “I don’t know. They want a doctor on an urgent basis.”
