River replied, “I have kids. It wouldn’t be appropriate…”

“It’s appropriate if I say so! I won’t let anyone argue with me!” Paige insisted.

River teased, “You’re quite bossy.”

Meanwhile, Reuben informed Noah about the top–searched post as he entered Axel’s room.

Noah clenched his fists at the post’s striking title. He began to understand why River had met with the Xanders.

‘She must be trying to get close to Thomas because Grayson disapproves of her relationship, right? Why is she in such a hurry to get married? Or is she rushing to announce her relationship with Neil? Why did she give me the impression she was not in a relationship?‘ Noah wondered.

The netizens‘ blessings pained him. The intimate moments he remembered between River and Nell during their time together didn’t help.

Noah turned off his phone, emanating a cold aura.

Reuben didn’t know what to say. ‘Mr. De Marco is acting like he did when he got Ms. Healy’s news. He seems filled with pain and loneliness, he thought.

“Mr. De Marco, Ms. Love is returning to the hospital,” Reuben cautiously informed him.

“Get the doctor to take over,” Noah said indifferently.

In the evening, River received a text from Casey.

Casey: [So, you’re dating Neil Xander?]

She was disgusted.

River: [I don’t think that’s any of your business.]

Casey: [It isn’t, but I bet I’ll enjoy Noah’s reaction]

River muttered to herself, “You pervert!”

River: [Can we cancel the meeting tonight?

Casey: [You shouldn’t mix up two different matters. I’ll see you at 8:00 p.m.]

River couldn’t understand why Casey chose Grand East Hospital as the meeting place. Even if it belonged to Noah, he might not check the surveillance cameras. If Casey had warned Noah, the latter would have called her, but she hadn’t received any calls or texts from him.

River wondered, ‘What’s Casey’s goal?‘

She decided to stay at the company to work on her sketches.

She headed to the hospital at 7:30 p.m. and arrived at nearly 8:00 p.m. Her phone rang as she parked.

Casey chuckled. “Why the rush to see me?”

Suppressing her disgust, River said, “Don’t forget what you promised me.”

Following Casey’s instructions, River got out of her car and headed to the inpatient department.

Meanwhile, Daniella spotted Noah in the elevator area of the inpatient department.

Noah stared at the elevator display. “Axel isn’t feeling well today. We’ll visit him tomorrow.”

Daniella looked away, and the atmosphere in the elevator turned cold. She hurried out when the doors.

Casey stopped talking and turned when he heard footsteps behind him. He greeted Noah with a smile, What a coincidence, Noah, Why are you still at the hospital so late?”
