“He is innocent” I mumble leaning on the kitchen counter.
I figured son, I will have him released, and stay here until the case is settled” Ana’s dad is on the stove making waffles. Guess for whom? With everyone betraying everyone around here, you can’t trust anyone to do anything for you. Especially cooking for you. The man does everything for himself and I’m thinking about following in his footsteps.
I can’t let harm come to my family just because I couldn’t accomplish my responsibility.
“Thank you. He mentioned Mother having a safe in her closet, I wanna check it out and see if it will lead us to anything”
“That’s a good idea but I suggest you see your mate first”
“Is she up?” the hope and the eagerness in my voice is unmistakable. “Yes, she woke up 20 minutes ago and she hasn’t stopped asking for you” F u c k! I don’t wait for him to say it twice before rushing out of the room. I hastily open the door to our room but pause at the magnificent view in front of me.
And…and…I draw you and Daddy, and also grandpa read me many stories of big wolves, and..and… bad vampires” Liam says in one breath with a wide grin on his face. ” And, daddy said I am awesome, and… and he said I should teach him to be like me” He proudly exclaims, and I lowy laugh. I love them.
“Really? Oh, goddess! my son is really brave. Tell me more baby” Ana pulls him on her lap and starts caressing his hair. It’s getting longer. I don’t know if she will allow me to take him for a haircut.
Mummy, I used my Superman powers to wake you up. Daddy and Grandpa don’t know anything” F u c k, is he trying to win her over himself? Ana laughs and kisses his cheek” What will I do without you, baby? You save me all the time”
“I will go and bring your food. Grandpa is cooking. He said if you eat you will be strong like me” He shows off his tiny biceps and his mum laugh harder. She is lucky to have him for the last two years.
This baby is just cute.
“Minh I clear my throat and all eyes turn to me. She looks a bit weak but at least she is here.
“Daddy, I made Mummy wake up” He shouts running my way and I crouch down to hold him. As expected, he jumps in my arms and I easily catch him. So much energy. He is an alpha baby after all.
“That’s, amazing son, I didn’t know you had powers?” I praise and he giggles looking at his mother. He wiggles in my arms and I let him down. It doesn’t take a minute for him to disappear behind the doors to get his mummy food.
He talks a lot too. He will be just like me.
‘He is awesome” I mumble walking to her and she weakly stands up to meet me.” Baby, you should lie down, okay?” I quickly pick her up and she instantly wraps her legs around my waist.
“I am okay Jace” Ana mumbles staring at me like I’m her favorite snack. “You Scared the hell out of me baby” I sit down on the bed with her straddling my lap.
Is my dad being hard on you?” She tenderly holds my cheeks. I missed the feeling of her hands on me.
“No, he is good. I am sorry for what that woman did Ana”
“I can’t believe she was the one threatening you Jace”
“Sorry, I marked you” I trail my index finger on my mark and she shivers craning her neck to the side.
You saved me baby” she whispers, longingly staring at my lips, and I am tempted to kiss her she is sick, and I shouldn’t be thinking about doing anything with her.
“Stop staring at me like that” I whisper but my eyes are stuck on her lips. It’s been a whole four days without my mate.
“Like what?” she whispers with a smirk. Dam n, this girl.
“Baby, you are sick. Stop teasing me okay?” I grumble but the mischievous glint in her eyes makes me chuckle. It’s impossible with Ana. “I missed you. Don’t do that again, yeah?” I whisper, slightly squeezing her as s and pulling her body impossibly closer to mine.
Maybe if you kiss me, I will think about it” I groan smashing my lips on hers. She is irresistible and she knows how to get what she wants.

“Mummy, Waffles” My son barges in the room and we quickly pull apart.
“Oh, goddess! Did you eat my food?” Ana mumbles in fake surprise and our kid’s eyes widen in guilt. He has evidence all over his mouth. He even used his t-shirt to wipe his mouth. Boy.
“No…” he shakes his head taking a step backwards. So he took over our crazy love for waffles? I don’t even remember when I ate them last. I overgrew the cravings.
Come here” She moves from my lap and Liam dashes out of the room with a scream, followed by happy giggles. I love this. It’s so refreshing. Now I understand why she was so obsessed with the idea of having kids.
“Grandpa, protect me from mummy” I follow the sounds of their laughter from our room, and I can’t help but smile to myself. I have to guard them at all costs. I don’t want anyone or anything to take the smiles and laughter from them.
This is the push I just needed.
“Now, who is chasing my little prince?” The king chuckles scooping him from the floor. I can tell he likes having a family around him too. He smiles a lot more these days than when we met. Also, he takes Liam almost everywhere he goes, even to the court.
“Mummy” he points at his mother
He ate my food, Dad” Ana complains, getting in her dad’s arms, and once again I feel jealous for having to share them with him.
“I have to go. Don’t get in trouble please” I slightly kiss her lips before embracing her.
“Watch over your mummy son, okay?” I kiss his head and he frantically nods, acting like a big boy.
