“I’m just going to use the bathroom, I’ll be back,” I said, leaving them talking about the new academy we were having built.

We had decided to bring the races together, building a school where they could all attend from sixteen onward and learn to coexist easier. It was in the planning phases but it would hopefully be done by the time our children needed to attend.

Earlier if we could.

I winced as my stomach tightened again. I frowned and moved faster to the bathroom.

I did my business then held the vanity as my stomach tightened. An ache spread fast across it and my eyes went wide.

I panted through it when another pain came. It was longer and stronger than the last one.

I sucked in a breath and leaned my head on my arm that rested on the vanity.

Damn. I wasn’t going to live this one down. Kai had been right then.

He had been sure I was going to birth early. But Cain had given me two more weeks.

Of course, Kai had been right.

Or all the sex had evicted the tenant.

Either way, I cleared my throat and dared to open the link.

‘Lorelai? You’re in pain?’ Kai was there instantly.

‘ Yeah,’ I breathed, another pain much stronger tightening. It ached, my pelvis throbbing. My legs shook as I grimaced,

This pain was coming much faster than my other births.

‘What happened?’ Derik asked in the link.

‘Well I think Kai might have been right. You know, when he said about the early birth thing,’ I said before groaning, another one coming at me.

I leaned against the vanity, rocking my hips trying to get rid of some of the pressure.

More pains came and went.

I couldn’t focus on the link but then my Alphas were there, bursting into the bathroom.

Kai grabbed me and went to move me but I was already too far along. I knew that much by the feeling.

He sat down on the floor of the bathroom with me sitting between his legs. He held my stomach, whispering words in my ears that made me shudder.

“You can do this Little Luna, we’ve got you. We’ve always got you.” He said.

I winced as Brax tugged my pants off.

Derik came in with some cloths and a baby blanket. It had the name Rowan on it for the baby. Kai had chosen the name and I didn’t mind. Uncle Rowan had been a huge part of our lives since he had come back into it.

He helped Kai with the warriors. He was going to start teaching at the Academy when it was built as far as I knew.

I moaned, crying out as my next contraction came with the urge to push.

“No, no, no,” I whined, “Cain and Galen aren’t even here yet,” I panted.

“No. They’re not. But you’re going to have this baby anyway Little Luna, so you need to push,” Kai urged.

And I did. I pushed. And pushed and pushed. It didn’t take as long as the other times.

I was catching baby Rowan a moment later when he came out. It had been a faster birth than I had ever had but I was grateful because it was painful and the less time birthing was a bonus to me.

I pulled baby Rowan to me and Kai and I both looked down at him.

He was so small and had the cutest little nose. Like mine, with a slight upturn.

“He’s perfect, Little Luna,” Kai kissed the side of my head.

Cain came running in then, his eyes widening as he saw Rowan was already birthed.

“Well aren’t you becoming a pro,” he smirked.

I rolled my eyes, “Apparently.”

“Okay Alphas, let me heal her, move,” Cain said and kneeled down to heal me. I was so glad he had the ability to do that. I had seen humans after birth and it was not pretty. They were sore for so long, some more than others.

The only problem with healing faster was that it tricked my body into thinking I could fuck again. Then I got pregnant.

It was a cycle.

“Remind me to get some birth control off you or your Mom,” I smiled tiredly.

Cain grinned and nodded.

“Good idea. How many of these fuckers’ little seeds do we really need running around hmm?” Cain teased, pointing to my Alphas.

Derik came over and kissed the top of my head, looking at Rowan. Brax winked at me and made sure Cain was being good.

He always was but Brax always made sure, staying at the other end until Cain was done.

“Four. That’s all. I’m done. So no more children,” I said, eyeing each of my Alphas so they knew I was serious.

I wanted to enjoy my Alphas now, the children that I had with them, start living the life we had set up after the battles of the past year.

The academy was a huge step in that direction. We had started planning mixers so the races could socialize. And Rowan was assimilating well after not being alive for so long.

Now he was talking about a future he never used to have. And he was a good uncle.

He just had one more to love now.

I looked down at Rowan Junior.

We all had one more to love.

And it made my heart so damn full.

We had fought so hard for the life we now had. One where every day was a reason to smile.

One where we could walk through the forest and smile at the vamp walking the other way.

One where we were invited for brunch on Witch Mountain.

Or for a sleepover at Mom’s which despite being a mom myself now, I still needed.

Mom of course, was still pretending she and Galen were just close friends but I knew that would change. He was devoted to her and we could all see the connection. Even she could. But my dad had fucked her up so I knew it would take time. Luckily Galen was patient as hell.

An hour later and I was sitting up in bed with my other three children crawling up the bed to meet their brother.

Brax sat next to me, pulling Zale onto him to get a better look. Derik held Alaric up right next to me on the bed. He was at the pulling hair stage and Rowan had a thick head of it so Derik kept the brothers apart.

I smiled as Kai brought my tea in. He sat on the edge of the bed and helped Enzi say brother. Since she had said Dadda, she was learning fast, her vocabulary taking off.

I smiled, looking over my family with a warm heart.

This, right here, the smiles, the love was exactly why we had fought so hard. It had been worth it.

I kissed the top of Rowan’s head. He was our final addition. He made us whole. I had four of them and now I was done.

No more children. We were everything I wanted right here.

I should have known better than to tempt fate that way.
