Beenie rolled her eyes and shook her head. I was pretty sure she murmured something like “gonna get everyone killed” but I couldn’t be sure.
The shirtless shifters all started dancing to the music.
But it wasn’t like the dancing I was used to. Not like the dancing I had been doing with Ryleigh and Taylor.
No, this was the kind of dancing that made my mom blush and my girls whistle with clapping and cheering.
The shifters grinned as they rolled their hips to the beat, putting on one hell of a show.
I laughed and clapped as they did.
None of them were brave enough to get close to the stage but that was probably for the best. I didn’t want them to die.
And if my Alphas were anywhere near the link or me right now, then that was a possibility.
“Whoooo!” I called as the music crested and each one of them ripped their pants off, the strings at the sides snapping with a satisfying sound.
They had on underwear made from leaves and vines from the forest.
The girls went crazy for it and I had to admit, I was a fan.
They pulled vine crowns on from the basket they had brought with them and started the next part of their dance wearing their leafy, vine outfits.
Their bodies were almost fully on display, their abs glistening, strong muscles flexing and showing off, going perfectly with their charismatic smiles.
I grinned and watched, mesmerized by the way they moved.
My cheeks were burning, my eyes attached as they moved, dancing to the beat that still sounded from behind me.
It was hot as hell. And made me the same way.
It also made me want my Alphas. Them, I could touch.
So despite the very strict instructions from Anetta telling me I wasn’t allowed to link with my mates tonight, for their sake and mine, I did anyway.
I smirked as my Alphas met my link straight away, the connection strong.
‘I miss you, ‘ I said.
‘You’re turned on. Why? What are you doing?’ Derik asked.
‘Hide in the bathroom and touch yourself, Spitfire, keep us here so we can feel it with you,’ Brax teased.
Damn that sounded like a good idea.
‘Where are you?’ Kai grumbled.
I was going to tell him but Derik stopped me, ‘No. She’s meant to have this night with her friends and we have ours. It’s part of the tradition I’ve been told,’ Derik said.
‘Fuck that. Where are you, Little Luna? ‘ Kai tried again.
I let out a small giggle then looked at the show I was getting. I kept the link open so they could see exactly what I was being treated to.
A spark of jealousy, anger, and heat powered through me from my mates.
“See you soon, Spitfire,” Brax smirked in the link before they cut me off.
A giddy feeling washed over me, causing me to grin.
I knew they were coming to me out of jealousy, but I didn’t care.
I just wanted them here so I could have my way with them.
Tradition be damned.

I punched Cain in the face. His head jerked to the side and he laughed, spitting blood onto the wooden floors.
He swung at me and I hit him again. Cain ducked the next hit and I threw another punch. He retaliated.
Sweat beaded on my forehead, my muscles burning, werewolf liquor pulsing through me. It felt so damn good.
It had been a long time since I had indulged, precisely since we had brought Luna back. I used to drink so much, every night, all night. It numbed my shadows and before her, it’s all I had wanted to do.
But since her, I had formed a bond stronger than I had ever thought I could with my shadows. She had taught me to enjoy them, use them for good more than ignore their existence. It had helped me give up the liquor.
But tonight was a free pass.
From what Derik had explained and what Pearl had mentioned, we were meant to do all the things that we had to give up once married. I wasn’t sure what that meant since I expected things to be much of the same, but Vaughn was taking us through the paces. Galen too.
They were running the bar, keeping us topped up with liquor, organizing fights.
The unmated females were serving food and drinks dressed in the tiniest of clothes.
That used to appeal to me, now it just made me sure of what we were doing.
Galen sat with Derik, discussing the things still needed for the wedding. Kai was challenging them both to an arm wrestle. Neither of them gave in.
Hank was showing Vaughn how to throw a spear. It was going miserably. Then again, I was getting punched in the face so I wasn’t doing that great either.
“Okay, time out, drink time,” I huffed as Cain landed another solid hook to my stomach.
Cain grinned and wiped the blood from his swollen lip. He hung his arm across my shoulders and patted me on the back, “This fight is much more even when your shadows and my magic stay the fuck out of it,” Cain grinned.
I grinned and shoved him off me, “I was going easy on you.”
“Pfft. Yeah right,” he laughed.
I hadn’t been, but I hadn’t been trying hard either. I didn’t want to fuck someone up, just have a good time.
I went to the high table that had been brought to the arena in the mansion training arena. I emptied two shot cups of liquor and shook my head with a grin, the buzz instantly hitting me.
Fuck, I missed it.
Not as much as I missed our Luna.
I eyed the door and wondered how much of a chance there was of me sneaking out to meet up with her. A secret rendezvous with her sounded way better than hanging out with the others.
“Don’t even think about it,” Derik said without even looking at me, going over the parchment he held.
“Already thinking about it,” I smirked.
Derik didn’t acknowledge me.
“If you’re thinking of finding our mate and ravaging her then I’m definitely on board,” Kai grinned, already low-lidded from the liquor. He barely ever drank since it messed up his training so when he did, he always took it too far.
Derik didn’t drink but he was nursing a single cup.
“You’ll get as far as the door before I stop you,” Galen warned, “Pearl wants this done right, I promised her it would be. Make me break that and I’ll break you.”
I thought he might be joking but one look at his glare and I knew that he wasn’t.
I held my hands up in surrender and shrugged, “Fine,” I said, ready to give up so I didn’t get messed up just before the wedding.
I went to the bar and grabbed another drink. I was about to challenge Kai to a fight just to watch him rage out when I used my shadows on him, but the link to my mate opened.
I eyed Derik and Kai who were instantly alert.
We checked the link.
She was so drunk. Her link was fuzzy, flirty and her laugh was slurred.
