Filed to story: Owned by the Alphas Novel
We had never attended their balls before, maybe this was a part of it? Maybe they had taken my alphas and I had to find them. Or was it my alphas?
The questions circled in my brain until I made it to the end of the hall.
As soon as I did, a flash of red exploded over the wall.
‘Left.’
A message in candlelight said. I frowned and looked to my left. The door was open. The only open door down the entire hall.
There was a slam and I spun to the noise behind me, my heart trying to break out of my ribcage on every beat.
The door at the end of the hall, the one that I had gone down from the ballroom, had slammed shut, locking me in darkness.
“Brax?” I whispered.
Nothing spoke back to me. But the urge to go into the dark room on my left got stronger.
And I was more curiosity than I was common sense apparently because I turned and went into the room.
My heart raced, my stomach hurt with fear but I didn’t care. I wanted to know the answers.
Why had I received a note? Why was I being left messages? Where were my alphas?
If this was a joke to scare me, then it was working.
But I was kind of excited about it.
Unless it wasn’t a joke. Then I was pissed.
As soon as I was in the room, the door slammed behind me.
But my instincts were tuned now, I had expected it.
What I didn’t expect was the feeling of whispers in my ear, the brush of skin against mine. I jumped, gasping as something moved around me, too fast for me to see.
The shadow moved again and before I could spin to it, a silk ribbon came down over my mouth, pulling tight so I couldn’t say anything.
My heart leaped out of my chest and I tried to scream but my tongue was pinned down by the ribbon.
I tried to run from whatever had silenced me but it was too late, whoever it was grabbed my arms and pulled them behind me.
My muffled screams fell against the ribbon and I struggled against the hold on my wrists.
Until another silk ribbon brushed over my skin. I shivered as it did, the feeling making my core flutter.
Fingers brushed my forearms as ribbon was tied up my forearms, pinning my arms behind me.
Then those same fingers ran down my body.
I sucked in a breath, my head short-circuiting as I tried to figure out what was going on.
I couldn’t ask, and now I couldn’t feel.
Locked in the darkness, my heartbeat in my ears, I knew I was meant to be terrified but excitement was on the edge of it.
I felt safe, even though I wasn’t sure that I was.
My mask came off then, someone removing it slowly.
I blinked, trying to make out who was doing it but I saw nothing. Whoever it was stayed behind me.
I was sure it was one of my Alphas but I couldn’t sense anything. I couldn’t find the link.
If it was them, why were they hiding?
Another ribbon came over my eyes and I struggled against it.
I wanted to at least have the illusion that I could see.
I screamed trying to get free but whoever was there, held me tight, using the reins of the ribbon to hold me in place.
My eyes were covered, my mouth was gagged and my hands were bound.
The perfect prey.
And I wasn’t scared.
My heart was racing, my stomach was turning but I wanted to know what this was.
I stood perfectly still, breathing hard then I waited.
The person behind me leaned in, pressing their hard body up against the back of mine.
I knew that body well and instantly his scent wrapped around me. Water, rain, freshness that only he could bring my senses.
Before I could call him out and mumble against the gag in my mouth that I knew who it was, he spoke.
“Ready to play a game, Spitfire?” Brax whispered.
Fuck yeah, I was.
Chapter 4. The Shadows
Lorelai
I couldn’t scream, but damn, I wanted to.
Brax had me on the edge of what I think was a dresser. He held my legs apart, his mouth devouring the wet seam between them.
My muffled moans fell against the gag, and I tried to wrangle my hands out of the ribbon, but it just pulled the knots tighter.
I wanted to touch him, run my hands through his blonde hair. But I couldn’t.
I was completely at his mercy.
Sweat beaded over my forehead, between my breasts as my core fluttered and spasmed over and over again.
He was relentless, tasting me, teasing me through a constant stream of releases.
I had nothing to grip, my arms numb behind me. My thighs shook as one lay over his shoulder, the other spread with his hand.
His teeth grazed over my clit, his tongue pushing inside me, and a gasp fell over the soaked ribbon in my mouth.
I was a mess, but he didn’t care.
His other hand pressed down on my abdomen, keeping my hips still as he claimed me.
He sucked and licked, his tongue devastating my will power. I came again, my screams choked.
“Brax!” I tried to cry out against him.
He ignored me.
My dress was lifted up to my waist, the neckline askew on my chest.
One shoe was gone.
It was a testament to the desire that had claimed me when Brax had invited me to this game.
I wasn’t even sure what the rules were. I don’t think I was actually playing either. If I was, I was the victim for sure. I had expected them to be so well behaved at this ball that I hadn’t thought of them pulling something like this.
Clearly, they didn’t care that the vampires were out in the ballroom. I might’ve, if I was getting eaten alive.
Brax paused then moved away, letting my legs fall back in place. I waited, not able to see where he had gone.
