“He’s healthy. And strong,” Cain said, and I let out a sigh of relief. I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear that until I had.
“Thanks, Cain,” I said back, pulling my gown closed.
He nodded, his brows creasing a little. “No problem. Just make sure you drink that potion. And you’ll need the bites from these three. He’s alive, but it’s draining you fast.
“Make sure you’re eating and keeping that toxin in your blood or not even your shadows will be able to keep you both alive,” he warned, and I nodded, the words sinking into my heart.
“Thanks, Cain.” Derik nodded, his voice stern, dismissing him.
Cain gave us a peace out, then went to leave the room. He hesitated at the door, looking over the bed, the alphas, me.
